Just a random thought at 2:00 in the morning.

The world is such a strange place.....

I look around and I see all the beautiful things the world has to offer and yet everyday on the news I am reminded of all the ugliness this world has to offer too. To think that 1.8 deaths occur every second. This translates to 105 people every minute, 6,319 per hour and 151,650 people per day. Therefore, this means approximately 55,503,922 people die every year and I am fortunate enough to have only lost Grandparents. It leaves me feeling humble and extremely grateful.

I watch Criminal Minds, Law & Order etc and to think that every second someone is losing a family member or a loved one, is just unnerving. I don't go a day without thinking of one of my family members and praying nothing bad happens to them, that they aren't in the "wrong place at the wrong time". I couldn't imagine losing anyone I love in such a manner.

Not to advertise my previous company buuuut I am extremely grateful for my security system. I feel secure knowing that when I walk in my house I don't have to worry about someone hiding in a closet or under a bed. Every entry way of my house (window or door) is secure with a secure (if it's opened or closed) and a glass break detector (it detects glass breaking duh). Someone would literately have to break through a wall to get into my house undetected.

To think of all the people that are attacked in their homes, children that are taken out of their rooms in the middle of the night etc and have no warning, no chance to do anything......I wish everyone would invest in a security system. Mainly I wish my loved ones would. I would feel a lot better knowing they were secure as I am.

I don't know if it's the shows I watch, the news I read or just experiencing life but I swear I get more paranoid the older I get. I am totally going to be that freak that lives in a basement, eating my own hair one of these days. lol Seriously though, this world is a strange place. It has so much beauty all around and so much evil walking among us. I say live your life to the fullest, but take precautions to protect your loved ones too. A gun won't help you if you have no warning. A dog is a good safety measure but a security system is even better.

I will end this blog with this final thought: Having Vivint for 4 months now I consider it something I HAVE to have. Feeling the security I do, knowing that within SECONDS there's someone over the panel talking to me, making sure everything is okay is worth more to me then internet, cable etc. I have multiple false alarms a week from my children dropping something or forgetting the system is armed and opening a door and I rest easy every day knowing there's someone watching over my family 24'7.
